God called Filippo peacefully on Friday July 7, 2017 at the age of 78. Reunited in heaven with his loving parents Francesco, Rosina and his brother Gaetano. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Fernanda. Cherished by his dear children, Nancy (Nelson Da Silva), Antonella (Paulo Henriques) and Rosemary (Boris Doma). Proud Nonno to Cristian, Ethan, Matteo, Lucas, Marcus, Mikayla, Sierra Rose and Alesio. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Monday July 10, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. and on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor Dr.). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven (on Hwy 27, south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Filippo may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
