Obituary for Clevie Mae Oliver

Clevie Mae Oliver, age 88, passed into her new life on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Evergreen, AL on March 21, 1929 to Earlie Feagin and Mattie Howard.

On February 19, 1949 she was married in holy matrimony to Willie J. Oliver. Clevie was employed with Toledo Public Schools as a Teacher's Aid at Glendale-Feilbach where she retired in November 1991.

She was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church having served on the Mother's Board, intercessory prayer ministry and choir. Clevie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed working and maintaining her plants and flowers outdoors. She inspired her family and close friends through her steadfast faith, listening ear, and wise counsel

Clevie was preceded by her parents, Earlie and Mattie Feagin, her husband, Willie James Oliver; son, Bruce D. Oliver; 3 brothers and 4 sisters and one grandaughter, Ashley Coogler.

Clevie leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughter, Brenda; son, Freddie (Gail); grandchildren, Frenita, Fatina (Eddie), Fremicia, DaJuan (Terrica), Aundrea (Warryare), Brian and Brandon Morris; nine great-grandchilden and one great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, Billie Feagin, loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at the House of Day Funeral Home, 2550 Nebraska Avenue.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. preceded by a 10:00 a.m. Wake, at Friendship Baptist Church, Bishop Duane C. Tisdale, officiating, Forest Cemetery.
