God called Mimma peacefully on August 19, 2016 at the age of 69. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Pietro. Cherished by her dear children, Carlo (Rosa), Vincenzo (Sonia), Alessandro (Crystal). Proud grandmother to Peter, Sara, Alessandro, Francesca and Alessandro. Mimma will always be remembered by her sisters Maria (Pino predeceased), Margherita (Franco) and by her brothers Salvatore (Mariella) and Piero (Edia) all from Italy. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., east of Jane St.). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (on Bathurst St. north of Finch Ave.). If so desired, donations in memory of Mimma may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children.
