Condolence: I was so very sad hear of Bill’s passing. We enjoyed the opportunity to catch up at Gord’s funeral – and the last photo us together. We were a generation apart but so much closer than that. I missed seeing Bill as often once I moved to Montreal but when we emailed or saw each other, it was like yesterday. Bill was an extraordinary communicator, full of compassion and passion for his family, friends and sports. Whether at the diamond, rink or family gathering he was engaging, entertaining and true. Judy, Mike, Nancy and Tom this must be very difficult so soon after losing Bonnie and my thoughts are with all of you. It had been many years since I last saw Bonnie, but I remember her wit, much like Aunt Pat’s. May God bless them and keep you strong. Deb

Condolence: My heart is broken. I can’t believe I won’t get to hear you say be good, love you sweetie, keep swinging or give me crap for working too much ever again. You were and are such a bright light to so many people in our dark world. Especially to me. I will miss your advice, your company, your stories and your wisdom. I am so truly blessed that God brought you into my life and am so thankful for Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, for bringing us together. I know it is selfish of me to have wanted you to stay longer but I can be happy to know that you are now with our God. Although you’re too humble to admit it, I know you for sure had a one way ticket— with no pit stops—-right to heaven. How blessed am I that I have you watch over me every single day? I am SO happy that you were there when Roger proposed. I know I gave you a Save the Date for the wedding but now you’ll be there in my heart. I promise that every curve ball that comes my way I will hit with a grand glam just for you. I think every time I visited you in the hospital I cried on my way out, but every single time I told you I loved you and that I would see you soon, and I’m going to do that now. I love you lots and will see you soon my friend.

Condolence: The world as we all know it, has changed greatly with Bill's passing. Heaven has gained an amazing angel while here, many have lost a wonderful friend, coach, brother, uncle and mentor. Bill had a special gift; he was kind, considerate, thoughtful, fun, great sense of humour, involved in the community (on so many levels), always took time to chat with everyone, willingness to share his knowledge but most of all he had genuine love of life and all it has to offer. It is rare to meet and know someone like Bill. Prayers for all of Bill's family and friends. Thank you Bill for being you.

Condolence From: Ted
Condolence: We are so sorry for your loss. When this happens in our family we need more than human strength. God and his Son can provide what we need. Please review these scriptures : John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Condolence: It’s hard to put into words what a kind & wonderful human being Bill was. He will be missed by so many people and he knew a heck of a lot. He coached our ladies baseball team (Phillies) in the 80’s and taught us all so much on the field as well as off. His main goal for us was to have fun and we sure did. We’ve been friends ever since and in the last few years had a “Timmies” date once a month. I will always treasure those times and miss them terribly. My heartfelt condolences to all of Bill’s family. He was truly loved by so many. So long dear friend.

Condolence: To the Needham family I send condolences of great sorrow. Bill was a good friend, fellow umpire and hockey guru. Bill and I shared a common love for amateur sports and his constant involvement will be sorely missed by all. Bill had a host of stories that would surround the Hamilton communities. His zest for any conversation about sports led us to many friendly debates and I will always treasure his knowledge and humour. We met on a ball diamond and also at too many rinks to remember. I wish the Needham clan soft and gentle memories and the hope that you will all keep a special place in your heart for "Uncle Bill". God Bless
