It is with deep sadness the family of Raymond William Baker announces his sudden passing at his home in Burlington on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in his 71st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Elaine (nee Oke) for 42 years. Much loved Dad of Alanna Baker of Vancouver and Adrienne (Gavin) Vawda of Vancouver. Loving and proud Poppa of Asher, Simone, Anika and Annabelle. Ray will be missed by his close family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Marsh and Christina Baker (nee Pallot), his sisters Josephine Skuse and Cecilia Bogue. Growing up in London Ontario, Ray will always be remembered for his competitive love of sports in hockey, baseball, football, squash and golf. He was the #1 fan of his Detroit teams, the Tigers and Red Wings! Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Ray’s life on Friday, March 9 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Emma’s Backporch, 2084 Old Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario L7R 1A3.
