Passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms on March 1, 2018 in Burlington at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Dana of 60 years. Cherished father of Toni Chappel who is predeceased by her husband Robert. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Mann (Wayne) and Michelle Chappel. Adored great-grandfather of Emily and Matthew Chappel-Mann. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. Josef will be dearly missed by his nephew David and many extended family members and friends. Joseph enjoyed a successful career of 30 years as an electrician at Dofasco. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 6 – 9 p.m. As per Josef’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no funeral service. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
