It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Julia Chopp (Simpson) announce her passing on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the age of 94 years. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband, William of 73 years and her children William (Dana), Carl (Rochelle) and Neil (Cindy deceased). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Aaron (Vicki), Leanne (Derek), Kristal (Dimitri), Kayla (Arun), Elliot (Nikki) her great grandchildren Payton, Sydney, Carter, Anderson and her surviving brothers Vic, Rod, Richard, Paul and Terry.
Audrey was one of 15 children of Mary and Joseph Simpson of Hamilton. Audrey was predeceased by her sister Loreen, her brothers Joseph, Merle, Pat, Leslie, Clyde, Gerry, John and Denys.
Audrey recently celebrated her 77th year as a member of the Catholic Women’s League and was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier in Stoney Creek for 52 years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek, on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Interment at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek. If desired, memorial contributions to a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
