Obituary for Ivan Milton Hazzard

HAZZARD, Ivan Milton

Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on October 31, 2017, at the age of 84 . Beloved husband of Edith Hazzard for almost 60 years. Dear brother of Gordon Hazzard (Thelma), Lawrence Hazzard (Tillie) and Gwen "Iris" Rakowski (Ed). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great niece, goddaughter and their families.

Ivan worked as a stationary engineer for several years, did assembly line work at Donald Rope and Wire and Inglis and security at Ford of Canada (COB). He enjoyed camping with his motor home, spending time with his animals, playing his guitar and singing. Ivan will be remembered for his humour, determination, integrity and love of family, friends and life.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 12:00 pm until the time of Service of Remembrance at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ivan can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Burlington SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society.
