BABINGER, Donald Eugene

Peacefully surrounded by his family at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his spouse Karen “Patricia” Laur (nee Marshall) (2011), and fondly remembered by his previous spouse Joan Barton (nee Morrison). Survived by his children, Kevin Babinger (Danielle) and Marion Gayk (Ron). Cherished papa of Keiran, Doren, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Ryan and Lisa, and great-papa to Grayson. Dearest brother of Roslyn Babinger. Don will also be missed by his extended family and friends. Thank you to Dr. Sowery, Dr. Kalia, and the LIHN support workers. A special thank you to The Carpenter Hospice for the wonderful care. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 7-9pm. A private interment for immediate family to be held at Burlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Burlington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Carpenter Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
