Condolence: John & I were friends along time. We met in kindergarten & shared the same class until grade 9. I lost touch with him for the last bunch of years but I always considered him to be my friend. I was shocked to read about his passing in the newspaper. On behalf of my wife Sally & all my brothers & sisters, I would like to send our condolences to Catherine, Mary, Jimmy & Mick. John, I hope you are liking the music up there. Mike Dick

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family. I met John when he moved to Petersburg and became my neighbour, friend and then (as he put it)....my big brother!. I thought of him often, but we lost touch a couple of years ago. So the news came as a shock to me! I have fond memories of "brothers" John, Rob and I doing our Sunday night dinners when we all lived in Petersburg! I also enjoyed his love for music. John, I hope your happy, I'll miss you! Love sis Helene

Condolence: To the family: I am very sorry to hear of Johns passing. I went to college with John and can recall many many good times with the group that John and I belonged to. What I remember most during the college years was Johns smile, constant laugher and happy go lucky attitude. He certainly did like his music. I am due back from Europe late Wednesday and hope to attend the service. Again, my thoughts are with all of you and John.

Condolence: I was very saddened this weekend to hear of the passing of John Geffros. I had the pleasure of working with John at 105.3 Kool FM for several years and really enjoyed talking to him about music, sports and everyday life kind of stuff. He seemed to have a really big heart and all of his at 105.3 Kool FM will be attending work on Monday with heavy hearts.

Condolence: I met John while I was walking my dog Happy and he was walking his dog Dylan. For quite some time we would arrange to walk our dogs together. After we talked about our dogs, we talked about music. Shortly after that, John began working in sales at KOOL FM and Oldies 1090. You could never stump him on a music question. He loved music, listening to it, reading about it, talking about it, sharing it with you. He was known as a very attentive sales rep and he built good relationships with his clients. John was also a very good golfer, who would get up extremely early to get a round or 2 in. John, enjoy the peace and healing only Heaven can bring. I pray for comfort for John's family and friends during this hard time.

Condolence: It is with great sorrow that I read of the passing of John Geffros, a friend since grade nine through college and many years thereafter. As we have long since moved to other areas, John and I drifted apart, but what most I remember about John is the infectious and inspirational enthusiasm he brought to whatever tasks to which he committed himself. To the Geffros family, my deepest sympathies for your loss. May God be with you John, and yes, the music is better up there.

Condolence: I am greatly saddened and shocked by John's passing and my sincerest condolences go to his family. I first met John 14 years ago during an intensely difficult period of my life and his guidance, selflessness and inspiration helped me to truly turn my life around and I owe a great deal of what I have today to him. We became very close friends and we spent many hours walking our dogs, hanging out, listening to music and we eventually not only worked together we also lived across the hall from each other and I was very privileged to have been his best man. He was a very great friend. I'll miss John greatly and I will be attending on Thursday with a very heavy heart.

Condolence: I have known John since the late 1970's when he was filling in as a DJ at Ballenger's in Galt. We became fast friends but lost touch over recent years. However, whenever we did talk or get together after long absences, it was like no time had elapsed at all. Our taste in music wasn't always on the same wavelength and we used to spend hours dissecting each other's like and dislikes. I have many cherished and happy memories of our time together and will miss him deeply. My heartfelt sympathies go out to John's family.
