Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013. Cherished wife of Jack for 64 years. Dearly loved Mom of Ian and wife Shauna, Nancy and husband Tim. Lovingly remembered Nana to Daryl (Holly), Keara, Melanie and Kimberly. Doris was dedicated to her family and thrilled by her great-grandson Mason. Fondly remembered by nephews Alan, Neil, David, Stephen and Gordon. She enjoyed the company of her many friends in the church, Bridge Club and Luncheon Group. A long-time member of St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church, serving on the Church Alter Guild. The family will receive friends at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church, 5324 Bromley Road, on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 12 noon. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
